Is it worth implementing ecommerce fulfilment software at the start of an online shop?
Lads, I’m launching a small online shop and we’re already drowning in manual order handling. Has anyone actually used ecommerce fulfilment software, is it worth adding this early on, or just extra cost? Keen to hear real experiences on speed and mistakes.

I put a system like that in almost right after launching my shop. It felt pricey at first, but the time saved was massive. Orders stopped slipping through the cracks and packing sped up. If you expect to grow, it’s easier to start early than rebuild everything later. It really cuts daily grind.

We ran everything manually for ages and only switched to ecommerce fulfilment software when the warehouse started falling behind. The difference was huge: automatic order syncing, far fewer human errors, and clear reporting. Setup took time and staff training, but now we process twice the volume with the same team. For a young shop it’s an investment, yet it pays back quickly if scaling is on the cards. It also makes stock planning and workload management far more predictable.
