Unlocking the Palace

The nice part is the entry itself doesn't ask for summoning materials; you walk in and interact with the Deceitful Altar to kick things off. But the real gate is the chest at the end. These days you only need two Betrayer's Husks to open the hoard, not four like older guides keep claiming.
Farming Husks Without Losing Your Mind
The Husks are the time sink, and it's where most runs fall apart. You farm other bosses like Grigoire or Varshan, open their hoards in Torment III or higher, and watch for a Mini Belial ambush. It doesn't happen every time, but it pops often enough to feel worth building around. The moment you crack the chest, he can spawn like a jump scare, and if you drop him you'll get a Husk plus a bonus copy of the loot you just earned. That's the loop: fight, loot, surprise fight, loot again. If you've got a steady group, even better—four players means more uniques per hour, and it makes the grind feel way less lonely.
Surviving Uber Belial
When you finally head into the Palace for Uber Belial, don't treat it like a normal boss. If Pit 100+ feels out of reach, you're probably going to get clipped and deleted. Stack armor, bring real damage reduction, and don't be stingy with movement skills. Phase 1 is mostly spacing and learning what not to stand in. Phase 2 is where the Crystal Decoys start wasting your time, so you've got to bait them cleanly instead of panicking. Phase 3 is the stress test: Hurricane of Lies fills the room and those tornadoes will shred you if you burn your dash too early.
Picking the Loot Table
Once he's down, the hoard is the whole reason you showed up. You get to choose a boss loot table—Duriel if you're chasing a Harlequin Crest, Andariel if your build needs her pool, or whatever you're missing—and that choice alone changes your odds in a way regular farming just doesn't. The smart move is to rotate who spends Husks, keep the pace tight, and don't be afraid to rebuild between sessions if your defenses are lagging.
