What is a 1946 Wheat Penny?
1946 Wheat Penny is a one-cent coin of the United States of America, minted after the World War II and consisting of Abraham Lincoln on the obverse side of the coin and the reverse side of the coin has wheat ears. It is made of 95% copper and belongs to the famous series of Lincoln Wheat Cent that were minted in the period between 1909 and 1958. In spite of this, these pennies were still popular amongst the collectors since 1946 despite billions being minted. The Wheat Pennies of 1946 have a low value except in case of the well-kept/uncirculated coins which have a higher value. The collectors frequently seek the mint varieties like no mint mark, D or S.
