We also discuss materiality and how this is applied by Auditors, brief overview of the Insolvency process in the UK, as well as. other valuable contentWith a final trial balance after audit adjustments, we work through a Corporation Tax Computation to add the last number required being corporation tax payable, and then we prepare the Financial Statements at an Advanced level. The Financial Statements prepared: Profit & Loss Account, vertical Balance Sheet & Balance Sheet Control Accounts, and Cash Flow Statement. This includes last year comparatives, and we read through a narrative for each statement. We then look at the Accounting policies used in the Notes to Financial Statements. We cover off interesting content along with topical issues.Lastly, there is a section on Deferred Tax, explaining how it arises and when it is a Deferred Tax Asset or Liability, and how it is posted into the financial statements. All the course tables are within an excel spreadsheet called Workings Sheets within resources.
