Can you have a marble accent wall in your bedrooms?

I plan to install a marble wall behind the bed in my bedroom and would love to know if someone has done something like that. I've come across some contemporary interior designs with marble accent walls, which endow the room with a clean and sophisticated atmosphere while requiring fewer decorative objects.
I'm thinking of going with a soft white marble with just a little gray veining for its coloring since it feels like it will never go out of style and it should match with different types of furniture. The big thing I'm worried about is the finish and that it will be too cold.
