Better to use a custom script or a managed pipeline for sales data

Post by barnitos »

I've been struggling with exporting data from Pipedrive lately. I'm wondering if I should still use a custom script, or if a managed pipeline will save me from these hassles in the long run. What do you think?

When I used a custom script to process sales data, I had to monitor it until late at night. Managed pipelines handle routine parts, field mapping, and incremental loading, saving me a ton of time, quickly paying for themselves.

The reliability gap between a custom script and a managed pipeline widens the moment your Pipedrive instance adds a custom field or changes a data type. BigQuery is unforgiving of schema inconsistencies during loading. A pipeline specifically designed for moving data from Pipedrive to BigQuery automatically handles typed tables and incremental syncing.
